Paleo Faliro or otherwise “the Miami of Athens”, with a population of 64,000 inhabitants, is one of the most modern areas of the capital with numberless influences from different cultures. However, its history dates back to the ancient times and the founder of the city is said to have been the local hero Faliros, one of the Argonauts. Before Piraeus was formed by Themistocles and then by Pericles, the port was located in Paleo Faliro and was quite large.

Nowadays, located within eight kilometers from the center of Athens, this area is the home to a number of restaurants, café, bars that are daily full of people of all ages who enjoy the view of the boats and Kastella in the background, as Piraeus is only 7 km away.

One of the biggest advantages of living in Paleo Faliro is that within a few minutes walk you can reach one of the beaches of this area (Mpatis, Flisvos, Edem) - and that appears to be a big deal for the lovers of the sea. In addition, this is the right place to experience a gastronomic journey full of aromas and flavors of different cultures. The access to the area is extremely easy because it is served by a variety of bus lines and of course by the historic tram. Moreover, there is direct access from the international airport "El. Venizelos" (which is 35 km away) via the express bus line X95.
